Here is a link to the membership renewal form for the 2024-2025 year. The 2023-2024 membership expires at the end of this month (June) – don’t let your membership lapse! 

Remember, membership is by agency or company, not by individual; therefore, only one membership fee is required for each organization. The completed membership form can be emailed back to this address.

June Monthly Meeting

Hello, PUG Members,

Our June monthly meeting will be held at the Brown and Caldwell office in Walnut Creek! The address is 201 N Civic Dr Suite 300, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, and we will begin at 11:00 a.m. on June 11th, 2024. Take the South Lobby elevator to the 3rd floor.

The presentation will be provided by Tony de Bellis and Garret Rehs from Rain for Rent, and is titled, “Sewer Bypass 101 for Specification Writers“. The presentation will provide an overview of basic information and design considerations that should be provided in project plans and specifications from a contractor’s point of view. A few case studies will be provided to illustrate the concepts presented. 

Also note that our business meeting will include time for a brief “elevator pitch” from each of our Board of Directors nominees!

May Monthly Meeting

Hello, PUG Members,

Our May monthly meeting will be held at the Brown and Caldwell office in Walnut Creek! The address is 201 N Civic Dr Suite 300, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, and we will begin at 11:00 a.m. on May 14th, 2024. Take the South Lobby elevator to the 3rd floor.

The presentation will be provided by Amster Howard, and is titled, “The Revolution in Pipeline Installation“. The presentation will include a discussion of the significant improvements in the construction of buried pipe. The AWWA Manual M55 provides the best summary of these changes and serves as the best reference. Example topics include uncompacted bedding, an uncompacted zone over the top of the pipe, and uniform terminology.

Board of Directors Nominations

Hello, PUG Members,

We are very excited to announce that we are opening elections for two available seats on the Board of Directors. The two available seats are:

1) Communications Officer

2) At-Large Representative 

Being a Board member is a tremendous opportunity to network, stay on top of industry advancements, and give back to the industry! All terms run for two fiscal years and Board members graduate up through the various positions at the end of each term. The full list of positions are detailed in the Nomination form found at this link. Eligible nominees must be from a public agency or a consulting firm. 

You may nominate someone else (with their approval), or yourself!

Also, a member agency may nominate one individual per available position. The person receiving the highest number of votes in the election will receive the position of Communications Officer and the runner-up will receive the position of At-Large Representative.

Nominations are due by email, submitted to, PUGNorCal@gmail.com, NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ON MAY 24, 2024. Election Ballots will be sent to members in early June 2024.

April Meeting at Brown and Caldwell!

The presentation will be provided by Derek Shields, from Primus Line, and is titled, “Primus Line FFRP System for Pressure Pipe Rehabilitation“. Primus Line is an innovative trenchless technology for pipe rehabilitation, offering a flexible fabric reinforced pipe system that allows for the rapid and cost-effective repair of damaged pipelines without the need for extensive excavation. It is widely used in various industries, including water, gas, and oil, to extend the life of existing pressure pipeline infrastructure while minimizing environmental impact and disruption to the surrounding area.
