Hello PUG Members,
Our March monthly meeting will be held at the Brown and Caldwell office in Walnut Creek! The address is 201 N Civic Dr Suite 300, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, and we will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025. Take the South Lobby elevator to the 3rd floor.
The presentation will be provided by Michelle Beason, P.E., Regional Manager with National Plant Services and is titled “Multi-sensor Inspections using TV, Lidar and Sonar”. Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is a common method to identify defects in sewer, water, and stormwater pipelines; however, most CCTV equipment does not have the ability to quantify the level of degradation or to measure defects. Multi-sensor inspection technologies (MSI) deploy a combination of sensors to gather multiple data streams in one inspection pass. This presentation will describe typical MSI technologies for sewer, stormwater, force mains, and potable water pipelines. Various sample projects will be presented, along with the methodology used to analyze the data; and then how this data is used to calculate remaining useful life and to prioritize repairs and rehabilitation.
Please RSVP using the Google Form link below by, Friday, March 7th by 5pm. This registration window cutoff is slightly earlier than it has been in the past, and is meant to ensure we are able to order the appropriate quantity of food. Thank you for your understanding.
